An Alfa has been ruined. Old cars are old cars ... don't understand making them only skin deep.

Like marrying a lovely person and then trying to make them look like Elle Macpherson via surgery.

In this case, if you want modern performance, buy a modern car.

I'll probably take some grief for saying this, but I have to observe that there isn't much about Alfa Romeos that this guy seems to like. There's very little left that originated in Arese.

Yea, it's a beautiful build, great craftsmanship, yadda yadda. But after all the substitutions, is it still an Alfa Romeo?

An incredible bit of work, but a mere shell of its former self.

I love the 297HP, but would rather have 198HP from a sweet Besic-prepared 2 L. No way it sounds like an Alfa; just saying.

It may not be a "true" Alfa any more, but I cant' really fault it. Better than the car rusting away somewhere.
