Build sheets

I purchased the Certificato di Origine for my 1964 Giulia Spider, but I was wondering if anyone knows if, or has seen, an A.R. build sheet for a vintage Alfa?

Thanks,

Ray

I've never seen one -- and I don't think they ever existed. Alfa Romeo production ramped up from about 600-1'000 cars per year before WWII, to 5,000-6,000 in the 1950s, and then to 50-70,000 in the early to mid 1960s. As the factory moved to mass production of pre-configured unibody cars, build sheets did not make sense anymore (i.e. mass production made build sheets obsolete). The information in the Certificato di Origine is from ledger books that I believe were initially kept for accounting and warranty purposes, and later became historical artifacts.

Steve,

The certificates cost 70 Euros and are on very heavy paper, suitable for framing.
