1984 Alfa Romeo Spider Interior Restoration

I am restoring the interior of a 1984 Alfa Romeo Spider. Attached is a photo of the interior. I am trying to confirm the colour of the seat and panel Italian leather (eg. Dark Saddle?). I am also looking to understand where I can purchase the front door panels and seat cover replacements. Thank you

Hello,

Yes...your interior is the dark saddle leather finish. I have the same car and interior and was wondering if you found someone who cold supply you with a good match to replace the leather.

Thanks,

Doug

84 interiors only came in the saddle color or blue. You might try Autoberry. I have no experience with them. I scored a good deal on set of vinyl covers through Centerline that were one shade off from the saddle color and I'm happily living with those.

'84 Spider Veloce...Why do I have a feeling this is going to be more expensive than my dog showing hobby was...

Thanks for the Autoberry referral. I'll give them, as well as Centreline a try.

Interesting...I did not realize that they only did the two colours in 84.

Cheers,

Doug

someone else on here said the SEM color coat paint color called Bluebird Brown matches that color (I have the same one)

I don't want to bore you with a list, but the only door panels I have found have been in black (the usual suspects; Centerline, Vick auto, Alfaholics, and a place called Hein Brand in Europe)

Thanks for the references. Not many suppliers out there that actually seem to be able to match the dark saddle brown leather. Hoping that World Upholstry and trim might be able to help.

I put my 1993 Spider in for some work today, and had a discussion with my mechanic about re-upholstering the leather seats. I have looked at several of the usual Alfa vendors online, and was seeking his opinion based on projects he'd seen in the shop. He recommended I look online at Acme Auto Headlining, which also does interiors. I looked at their site this afternoon, and they appear to have a range of different colors. Not sure its a match for your Alfa, but might be worth checking.

Good luck!

As far as i know, no one makes a seat kit in this color - vinyl or leather. You may find an upholstery shop that could make them for you.
A few years back, i did a write up on my '84 interior redo: http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/car-...enovation.html It may be of some help.

Good Luck,
Mike

Thanks Mike,
Nice job on the restoration. I really only need one good seat in the original leather color, as my passenger seat is like new. Just can't seem to find an ideal mate (even in the used/wrecked world), so I figure I simply need to get two new leather seat cover kits made in leather and re-clad them.
