Help with colour code

Hi folks.
I am currently restoring a 1971 1750 gtv #AR1456219. The car is red. However it appears that the original colour was a light metallic blue. Does any one know the name of the colour and the paint code.
I emailed Elvira Ruocco and she says the car was light metallic beige when it left the factory.
I am halfway through stripping the car to bare metal and I have not seen any metallic beige, only a light metalic blue.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards Darrin

Have a look at the 1972 Color Chart and see what is closest to the color on your car. The differences between 1971 and 1972 should not be all that great. Unless you have a documented history of the car, you may find that the colors you discover may not be original.

Good luck,

Ruedi

KIWI did Elvira give you a paint code ?

No unfortunately. She said it was metalic light beige, but I have not seen that colour while stripping to bear metal. Only light metallic Blue under the red repaint.

If you write back to her, she will tell you the paint code. You can submit 4 different chassis numbers to Elvira on seperate emails and you will never get quite the same type of information on any of them. So ask her again and specifically request a paint code and interior colour for your car.

I have heard back from Italy. She made a mistake and the factory colour is Light Metallic Blue. I asked for a code but it was not in the reply.
Never mind should not be to much of a mission to find out.
Thanks for your help.
