Lime Rock Vintage Festival - Italian Car Corral

Below is the text of an email from Tim Beeble of Fiat Lancia Unlimited. Every year Tim puts in a ton of effort to get Lime Rock to set aside an Italian Car Corral at the festival. Every year we have to struggle to pre purchase 25 tickets to insure the corral. If you plan on going, its VERY IMPORTANT that you pre purchase the tickets via Tim so that we not only get the corral but that we don't end up shunted off to the side while the BMW crowd (with 10,000 cars) get the primo spots. On top of it all (and this will appeal to all Alfisti) the tickets are discounted. So come on you cheap lazy bastiches, send in your ticket order today. See you at Lime Rock and then the Glen

"The ticket orders for the Vintage Festival at Lime Rock and the Italian Car Corral on Labor Day September 5th are coming in SLOWLY. I only have orders in-hand for 10 people, and in order to qualify for a corral, the track requires a minimum of 25 ticket sales. Please get your ticket orders and checks to me by Friday August 19th so I can get our group ticket order submitted to Lime Rock. Don't wait for the five day forecast, because that will be too late. Below is the write up on the event.

Italian Cars Corralled at Lime Rock on Labor Day, September 5, 2005

Over Labor Day Weekend Lime Rock Park Race Track in Lakeville, Connecticut will hold its 23nd Annual Vintage Festival. The schedule includes qualifying races on Saturday, a Concours on Sunday and Vintage Races on Labor Day.

In conjunction with “race day” at Lime Rock, Fiat Lancia Unlimited (FLU) will sponsor its 12th Annual Italian Car Corral on Labor Day. All Italian marques are welcome to join the corral. Each year, the corral attracts aa stable of Italian cars including Fiat's, Lancia's, Ferrari's, Maserati’s, Lamborghini’s and Alfa's.

There is no extra charge to participants in the corral. Discounted Labor Day tickets or weekend tickets to the Vintage Festival are offered by FLU at a rate of $30 and $65 respectively. However, the discounted tickets must be purchased in advance from FLU. Also, FLU is offering discounted tickets for Friday’s trial races are $14; tickets to Saturday’s qualifying races and Sunday’s Concours are $18 each. These ticket prices through FLU are discounted to about 30-50% below the gate ticket prices including the new $10 parking fee charged to park in the infield. Tickets will be held in for you at the Will Call booth at the Infield Gate.

Send your ticket order and check payable to “Lime Rock Park” to Tim Beeble at the address below. Please send your order to be received at the address below by August 19th. We hope to have the minimum order of 25 by August 19th so that we can secure a corral. A supplemental order of tickets for which we receive checks after 8/19/05 will be submitted at the end of August. Please help us out by ordering your tickets early.

It is extremely important that you buy your tickets from FLU. If we do not pre-sell 25 tickets, Lime Rock will not reserve a corral space for us.
