Is there a way to modify rearview mirror with a clock?

I like my 71 Spider's original, retro interior but do miss having the convenience of a clock. I don't want to install any kind of ugly aftermarket clocks that are velcroed (sp?) on. I am trying to figure out a way to modify my rear view mirror to add a tiny LED or LCD 12V clock. Is this even worthwhile trying to figure out or not?
Another random idea that I had was to modify a glove box door to recess an analog clock but that would 1) ruin the glove box door that are somewhat scarce and pricey at best and 2) just would simply look wrong.
Any suggestions?

You might go to and work your way to their automotive radios, what ever they call 'em. I was looking there for the device that gives you a rear view camera and the markers for reversing clearance to upgrade my 164.

Among others, there are some that show the backup view in the rear view mirror - uses a special mirror of course, but not expensive.

I don't know if they include a clock there, but it's worth a try!

BTW, I have bought from there a time or two without regrets. Stuff arrives in a surprisingly short time. Paypal only.

Good luck! Dennis.
