AROSC Events Schedule for 2005

This is an invitation, not only for AROSC members, but any Alfisti, from anywhere that happens to be in town. Party down .

Following is the AROSC schedule to date for 2005:

Jan 8 & 9: Time Trial / Race Weekend (with Intro) at Willow Springs

Jan 30: General Meeting and annual awards dinner at Luigi's at the Rosecrans exit of the 405. Scheduled from 3:30 to 7:00. $20 per - buffet includes Antipasto salad, Chicken Marsala, Meat Lasagna, Roasted Veggies, Asst. Cookies and soft drinks.

Feb 5 & 6: Performance Driving School at the Streets of Willow - 3 Groups (Street Performance, Time Trial and Race). Guest instructor to be announced.

Feb 27: Concorso at Pepperdine University (overlooking the Ocean)

Mar 19 & 20 Time Trial / Race Weekend (with Intro) location to be confirmed.

Mar 25 General Meeting at Mosier Restoration next to LAX begins at 7:30PM.

Apr 3 Rallye "In Search of Wildflowers). Starts at the Reel Inn on PCH in Malibu and goes up, down, and around the Santa Monica Mountains.

Apr 23 & 24 4th Annual "Pines to Palms" road tour. This year from San Juan Capistrano over Ortega Hwy to picnic lunch in Idyllwild then down the back side of the Cleveland Mts. to dinner and stay over in Palm Springs.

May 28 & 29 Time Trial / Race Weekend at Buttonwillow (Intro only if we do not schedule a Enduro Race)

Jun 12 Concorso at Craig Regional Park in Fullerton - probably a little far for Central Coasters, but you never know.

Jul 17 TSD Braille Rallye. Held by the Los Angeles Braille institute. Navigators are blind or severely vision impaired and read direction in Braille.

End of Jul is the Potlatch Convention in WA. and we have the beginnings of a pretty decent caravan shaping up.

Aug 17 to 22 is Monterey

Aug 28 AROSC Summer Party at Phyllis Gaylards' home in Huntington Beach.

Sep 3 & 4 Performance Driving School at the Streets of Willow - 3 Groups (Street Performance, Time Trial and Race). Guest instructor to be announced.

Oct 1 Dyno testing and swap meet at Magna Flow in S. Orange County.

Oct 22 & 23 Time Trial / Race Weekend (with Intro) at Willow Springs.

Oct 28 Bi-annual meeting at Mosier Restoration.

Oct 30 Rallye - location to be announced

Nov 6 Best of France and Italy.

Nov 12 & 13 Time Trial / Race Weekend (with Intro) at Pahrump NV.

Still have to schedule our wine tour - looks like either Thanksgiving weekend or mid October for Arroyo Grande.
Will advise of special General Meetings. We are looking at a Sat afternoon clean car show at the Peterson with a private tour of the vault, a trip to Otis Chandler's and / or possibly the Nethercutt - with a limit of 30 allowed in the restoration shop.

Whew, I'm worn out.

Sounds like fun stuff! Our club has yet to get events organized... but we are a lot smaller. You guys have all the fun - have to make it to one of your drives sometime.

Since our membership is spread all over S. Cal and in many cases there is joint membership with you guys and / or Central Coast, we try to spread the venues out.
If you notice our Pines to Palms tour starts in San Juan Capistrano (ended one year in Coronado, once in Julian) and the dyno session is in Rancho Santa Margarita.
We try to publish whatever info we get from your part of the world, like Italian Festival in San Diego. Unfortunately we got late notice about the upcoming do at Torry Pines.
See you at Willow in Jan.?
