What a nice day for a car show.
Every year we go to "Best of France and Italy". This year I showed my 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth C. My wife chose not to show her 2012 Fiat 500 C Lounge this year. My father showed his 1966 Alfa Romeo GTV "Step Nose" race car.
We arrived early to setup before general admission opened. Shortly after we arrived, a new Alfa Romeo 4C rolled in. It was not the 2015 USA Launch Edition. It was one of the manufacturer demos. It was Madreperla White which is just a gorgeous color on this car. It's essence of pearl white with hints of yellow and some metal flake that comes and goes from you focus. A hard color to photograph, but such a nice color to see in person.
The Alfa Club was there as was the Fiat Club and the Ferrari Club. Citroen, Lancia, Renault, Maserati and many other obscure one of eighteen built cars showed up. Ghia Chrysler Special (2 or 3), Tatra, Facale and more that I can't recall by name.
Jay Leno showed up in some big old thing. It was a huge car that looked to have been built around 1902 with a straight 12 in it. He drove in past us and a crowed swarmed him before I could find my camera. After about a half hour he drove away.
Sean Russell of Kearny Mesa Fiat Alfa was there showing the new Alfa Romeo 4C.
The 2013 Alfa Romeo 4C Standard Edition (demo)
It really didn't get much attention. I was surprised.
Victor's early 60's Fiat 500, the 2013 Alfa Romeo 4C, my 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth C
Victor has been placed next to us three events in a row now. He and his family are old world Italians and some of the nicest people you will meet. Their beautifully restore 500 looks great next our 500. I think my 500 is tiny until I park next an original 500.
My father's 1966 Alfa Romeo GTV "step nose" racer
Three years ago he crashed his 72 GTV at Laguna Seca and started building this shortly after. It's finally drivable and ready for paint and glass soon. He has done 95% of the work himself. Yes, that's the 4C in the background.[/QUOTE]
My two loves.
My wife Allie and the 4C.
