January 2015 WIllow Springs "Alfa Only" Run Group

We are working with Anthony Rimicci to get a bunch of Alfas to Willow in January (track date is pending). This will be a time trial run group with limited passing. No need to worry about high horsepower cars or LeMons beaters running with you.

I'll open the discussion as to whether we keep it strictly Alfa, or possibly "vintage" cars too, like 510s and 2002s.

Will post more when we have nailed down the date.

That's an awesome idea, I hope you can pull it off. I'd like to run with "like" cars. Would we use the same power to weight classes within the run group as we currently use???

Alfa Classification

"For 2013, Alfas classified using the old "points" system will automatically be assigned as follows: Old Class A and B will become Class O cars, Class C will become Class P cars and Classes D and lower will be Class Q cars. Class Z and X cars will be reclassed based on the weight-to-power system. If anyone wishes to have their Alfa reclassified according to the weight-to-power system, all they have to do is enter the appropriate information when they register for their next event. "
This is what we are using now. The original Alfa Romeo Classification is a bit more complicated with more classes.
I vote to keep the current system to keep things easier. After this idea of an Alfa Romeo only group succeeds beyond our dreams we can discuss it.
So, lets get those Alfas prepped for Time Trials. You only have about 5 months.

Great idea, I should have my new GTV racer ready before then. It should be a class B car. I am not sure if it will be ready for Buttonwillow in Sept. Maybe some testing runs.

Our 240Z is a class P car. Sounds like fun to me.
