Introducing myself- New to AlfaBB in LA

Hi All,

Just wanted to say hi in this section. I usually don't post all that much in forums, but everyone here seems super friendly, and I'm just starting to learn more about Alfas.

I have always loved the 105's, but have never ridden in one. If anybody in LA has a GT / GTV they'd be so kind as to show me, I'd very much appreciate getting more familiar with the car. I might be in the market to by one very soon.

In the past I've restored old jeeps, mercedes, and other odds and ends. Thanks and Happy Easter!

HB Concourse June 1

June 1 is a great concourse in Huntinngton Beach. A bunch of Alfas will be there as well as a whole bunch of other cool cars.
What part of town are you located? Update your bb profile as LA is a pretty big place.
Stop by an event some time. You don't have to have an Alfa to hang with us.

Hi Welcome.
This is why you will enjoy your future GTV:

BMW vs Alfa

I took my toys for street racing last week and was surprised to see my 74 GTV (stock with Euro Cams) passing over my 74 CS (stock with 2 Webers & 5 Speed)! Starting from stoplight, first & second gear was very close but once I pulled to 3rd gear the GTV start to pull about one car distance ahead and the CS had no chance to catch-up! We continued the race to the close by freeway and again my GTV performance just amazed me both in power and handling.

Thanks for sharing! Really excited to get to know the cars more. Besides rust, what should I keep an eye out for? Any especially desirable options or modifications? 1750? I love the look of some of the Alfaholics cars on their site...
