Big Willow Oktoberfest Race & TT Oct 5-6, 2013

Hi all:

Registration is now open for our event at Big Willow October 5-6. Since this is the last weekend of the famous Oktoberfest in Munich, and I am not going there this year, we decided we would celebrate it at Willow Springs. We will have a keg and will be grilling Bratwursts at the end of the event on Saturday.

If you have a German car, you will get free beer. If you have an Italian car, free beer. If you have an American car, free beer. Japanese car, same deal. Any kind of car, free beer, except French cars. They have to bring their own wine.

Weather should be great - cool, which means more HP. Get cranking on your car so it will be ready for our last track event of the year!

Other interesting things in the works for this event...

Do you still offer the lunch time intro group?
Does the DE/Solo group have classroom instruction and do they run in their own group or with other passing groups?

Yes, we are having the lunchtime intro group again. Will also have classroom sessions for beginners. Solo group is the least experienced group. We do not run a separate DE group any more.

So for beginner time trial, requirements say "less than 10" track days. Diana has SCCA Solo2 experience, did the AROSC driving school years ago. Is that enough?

She is fine to do beginner TT. Is she going to drive your SVO, or the Wally Rust Corvette?

The beverage of choice for Oktoberfest has been arranged. We also have arranged a specific brew to boil the bratworst in for the Beer and Brats gala. We will have kraut, grilled green peppers and onions as well.

What we need to know is a round about count to make sure that we get enough Brats.

See you at the track!

Dennis

And for those of us that don't drink, or CAN'T drink, is there a suitable alternative?

That's acceptable.

You said the brats are cooked in beer. I can't eat alcohol any more than I can drink it.

I love brats and I love grilled peppers. I just can't do the beer/wine/alcohol thing and I can't/won't eat anything that's been cook with booze.

Exceptions can be made for everything. We can cook some in good ole H2O for those that cannot/do not want them cooked in beer. We just need to know how many to prepare that way. I suppose we could do a 75/25 cook as needed.

We are ready to go. We have the provisions to cook them both ways.

See you at the track!

Unfortunately, something came up and I can't make it. I really appreciate you going out of your way to include me.

Maybe I can make the driving school in November.
