Anyone in Palos Verdes or near...?

Hello All,

I'm currently interested in a '67 Duetto that's listed on EBay in the area and was wondering if there were any seasoned Alfistas who would be willing to look it over or better yet recommend a Alfa specific shop who I could contact to have a complete vehicle inspection performed. I've done some google searches on "Alfa romeo repair restoration shops near Palos Verdes" and get no hits back that even remotely close. I myself am located on the east coast and couldn't be further from the area to inspect myself so I would almost be buying blind and that's not something I like doing. If anyone can help out or recommend a place I would be greatly appreciated!

Kind Regards,

You may want to try Alfa West in Long Beach or APC in Orange, CA. I don't know much about either one but several board members here seem to be very happy with them. If you are going to check them out, please share your experience with the rest of us. Good luck

I am working in Torrance every day this week and next. I'm not a Duetto expert but I have done a lot of work on my '71 GTV and have worked on a buddy's '70 spyder. I can take a quick look around and take some pics if you want. I won't have tools to be able to do compression testing and I won't be able to test paint thickness and such and don't have a lift so it would be more of a quick look see. Let me know if that is helpful.

I can also recommend APC and your best bet is to have the car taken there for a full inspection.

It's probably too late for this car, but if it's not we have 4 Alfisti signed up waiting to help people inspect Alfas.

Hey guys, thanks so much for all the replies and the williness you all have displayed to a complete stranger! I do apologize sincerely for not being able to respond sooner... I had to run out of town and now just getting back and caught up and yes it was to late for that one but I'm keeping my fingers crossed something else will pop up soon! Again, many thanks and god bless...

Kind Regards,
