According to the track, it is an optional service that must be requested/paid by the track customer. Since we are partnering with another group who actually booked the track, we will have to check with them.

Hey Dan
good to see you're coming with a Miata. I have a tire pressure gauge

Alfa Mazda

I have an Alfa nose badge on my RX7. I put it there since they wanted me out on the track to pace one of the lunchtime ALFA track drive groups at the 40th/50th Anniversary, and the Alfa I was supposed to drive would not start.

It's not really a normal MR2. 2200lbs 285hp. That wt/hp puts me in K.

Just to keep my hand on the wheel I am going to be driving sons Bob and Peter's 240Z on Sundays time trial. Pete is driving both Sat. and Sun. Should be fun to be back on the track after my crash at Lagona so whach out.

It's still a 4 cyl but boosted within an inch of it's life. Fingers crossed it makes it through the day.

I would love to see a 5 liter MR2.

There's link to the details on the (Car Classification) page on the website. Basically, any Wt/HP less than 8 gets you into K if you have a sub-3L engine. It looks like you're at 7.72 before applying the adjustments for tires, suspension mods, etc., so it looks like Dennis got it right as usual.

7:30 AM if you are a racer, 8:00 AM if you are Time Trials. Race group is first out at 8:00 AM.

That was a fun weekend. I needed to get away. This was my first time on the Chuckwalla Raceway and I liked it. I am looking forward to going back again.

A sad note: One of the cars caught on fire and burned for an hour while we waited on the fire department to drive from Indio. This was not our event. When we do host events, we always pay the extra money to have Fire & Rescue at the track. The event host chose to not to to have Fire & Rescue at the track.

Next time go out to an event as a "guest". we need to make sure they will have Fire & Rescue there. It's bad enough that a car catches fire, but to watch it burn to a crisp for an hour is not an option.

That is just not acceptable. what happens if someone is trapped in that car? How far does a 2.5lb handheld or 10lb in car tank last? The answer not very long! What if someone needed a rescue on track? You know about a month ago someone died at CVR hitting a corner station.
