2012 AROSC Comp Schedule

This is the "silly season" for track scheduling.
Terry Major is in the middle of working out various deals, given the dates that tracks offer us and other clubs/organizations.
Stay tuned.

New tracks to drive on

I'd like to throw in Vegas and Phoenix and also Infenion.
We just need a sponsor to come in to make up the 5 or $10,000 deficit we would have on tracks like these.
See you guys next year at Willow Springs and Buttonwillow.

We have started nailing down the Willow schedule for 2012. So far, it looks like:

Jan 21-22 The big track at Willow. We think we are going to price this around $100/day, race or TT! Will need to spread the word to other clubs so we can get a good turnout!

Feb 18-19 Streets of Willow, AROSC Driving School

Get the web-adds written up early enough. We need to get this out before people make other plans.

I will post adds in the car forums I am active in once it's ready.

I'm bummed because for the last 3 years the AROSC track schedule has been a near mirror of the SCCA schedule. If anyone is interested the SCCA schedule is posted below. If AROSC is lucky enough to get a choice of dates I vote for dates that are not SCCA dates so I can race with AROSC. Thanks!

SCCA dates:
1/20/12
2/25
3/24
4/28
5/19
6/9
9/1
10/6
10/27

...and if I am lucky enough to win the lottery, I can buy a real race car, maybe even a Corvette racer! We are pretty low on the totem pole, unfortunately!

Exclamation $99/day, Jan 21-22 at Big Willow!

The e-flyers are almost ready to go out for Willow Jan 21-22. Hope to get them out in the next few days.

Price will be $99/day, race TT, or HPDE. You aren't going to see many deals like this at the big track!

Thanks Paul.

As it stands I may not be able to race until may or so. Last Sunday (11/27) I crashed on a bike ride and broke my left femur just below the hip. I'm looking at an 8 week recovery and I have no idea how long before my "clutch leg" will be able to handle the rigors of racing.

Hope to see y'all soon !

Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery so you can get back to racing.
