Great pictures! Any report from the race group. Terry M was all about getting AROSC to Laguna. I hope he made it there.

Terry M was there, said the racing was outstanding. I wasn't there due to coming down with some nasty cold/flu bug. Bad news is that Art Russell lost it in turn 2 and ended up taking another car out with him.

However, the worst offense of the weekend apparently was a guy who took his son for a ride along, and wrecked his car while arguing with his wife (or ex-wife) on his cell phone!

Hey Jess, was that the only 500 there? I swear the one I kept passing in my group was white and had the red/white/green stripes on the back. A little slower but they sure look like fun cars to drive.

EDIT: yep that was him. I can see the pic above shows the stripes.

Seriously? I cannot think of a worse display of judgment and especially at high speeds. I may have joked about some slower traffic driving like they were on phone but I never imagined anybody would actually do that on the track.

Apparently he ignored several black flags, then finally acknowledged one at start/finish, then proceeded to go off track & hit a wall I am told.

W used to jokingly tell people at the drivers meeting not to use cell phones on the track. Maybe we need to put that back into the talk?

Thanks, Terry. The track photographer, David Wong Photography, takes credit for the on-track pics.

There was another freelance photographer that was there to shoot stills and videos of us, but he has been busy since the event so I haven't collected the results of his day there yet. I'll post them here once I get them.

I finally got around to editing my in-car videos. Here's two laps from Saturdays third practice session for Open Passing.
