Temps hit 60, the Alfas are out

On this glorious March 29, at around two o'clock, I spied a silver S3 spider on I-295 just north of Freeport, ME. I was southbound, and the Alfa was northbound. The first Alfa sighting since late October for me--it has been a long winter.

I saw a red 90-94 Spider on rt 302 in Bridgton today, person probably thought I was crazy- wild man gesticulating from a muddy Chevy truck. But hey, we don't see many Alfas up here outside of my yard !!!

Spied a red S3 Spider today in Hudson, NH on route 102 (just after the lights near the Hudson True Value Hardware store) around 2:30. The car had Veteran vanity plates.

Sprint Speciale 190 MA southbound

Saw a nice red Sprint Speciale heading south on 190 in Massachusetts at about 2:00pm Saturday. My wife, who thinks I have a disease for Alfa's even commented about it being a neat car before I told her what it was

Thanks,
Spencer

My wife can't understand my fascination with Alfas, but she does love the look of a Sprint Speciale.

Sprint Speciale

Spencer, odds are it was Rod Burdick's SS. This car was featured in the premier issue of Hemmings Sports & Exotic cars. Where are you at in RI? It would be nice to have a few more local Alfas at the Portsmouth Abby auto show on Father's day. Last year Rod & I were the only ones.

That is such a beautiful car. Portsmouth sounds like a fun time, I'll plan on it. I'm located in Coventry, and you?

Thanks,
Spencer

Crossed paths with a black 164 this morning on route 146 in Guilford, CT this morning; I think the driver saw me, too. Anyone here?

Passed a red GTV-6 going the other way on Boston Street in Guilford this morning around 10:30. I think I confused what looked like an older woman driving it. She's probably wondering why the guy in the little silver car waved.

Memorial Day afternoon about 3 or 4 o'clock my wife and I were driving on I 495 south and Rt. 2 east in the Littleton/Acton, MA, area. A black 70's Spider passed us and we followed it for a mile or two 'til it exited. Forgot to note which of the two roads we were on at the moment, or which exit the Spider took....

Who all had their Alfa out that day? Unfortunately we were in the Toyota pickup and not the '73 Berlina (engine apart). [email protected]#$%! Such a georgeous day, too!

Anyway, a valuable field exercise for Liz's Alfa recognition studies . And I note with chagrin that I'm not able to distinguish the different Spider models very well.
