Safe to join?

Well I finaly got my online financial stuff in order (PayPal acount) and decided to take the plunge and join AONE last weekend. I was going to join through AROC USA so I could buy a hat and jacket at the same time. Just my luck, some idiot hacked the site and it's still down as I write this . I'm perfectly willing to join through the Velocissima website and buy the clothing later, but I was wondering if I should wait until the national website can get back on its feet. Any thoughts on this? Does anyone know how long that may be?

Thanks in advance.

Don't have a clue but you could always give the main office a call.
Meanwhile......what part of central Vermont?

Hi Rob!
So there is another Alfa in Vermont after all. Actually I saw another S3 Spider at the Barre homecoming weekend in July(just a brief glimpse) and there is a Milano Verde near where I live in Barre.

It's great to hear from you. Do we Vermont Alfa owners ever get together by ourselves or do we always drive 2 or 3 hours down south in the lower New Hampshire and Boston areas?

AONE is not my local chapter (I saw this when I clicked on "new posts"), but I can tell you that it doesn't really make any difference how/where you join, via the local chapter or through the national headquarters. We are all one big happy family. Well, at least I'd like to think we are, but it really doesn't affect the membership process. I am going to assume that Rob (Hi, Rob ) does really want you to join, but didn't have national's toll free number handy , so here it is: 1-877-399-2762. You may call between 10 AM and 6 PM Eastern Standard Time. Jolene is the club administrator, who handles everything, and will be more than glad to process your membership and merchandise order.

Best regards,

Enrique

Hey Dana,

I live in southern NH, but I travel on business to the Burlington area often. I see a fair number of Alfas in Burlington (in fact more than I see in Southern NH), but I don't recall seeing any in Barre/Montpeculiar. On the other side of the lake there is a 164L in Plattsburgh, on Route 3 that hasn't moved in three years!

I think you and I would get along just fine.

I've lived here in Barre all my life and Montpelier just keeps getting more and more strange. It's like two different worlds, Barre = bluecollar, Montpelier = just plain out there!

PM me next time your passing by and maybe we can get together if you have time.

Cool!

If you want to see her running you'll have to come by in the spring. She's all dressed up with no place to go right now, but she says she would take her clothes off for an experienced italian lov.....CAR lover.

Just try to give me a couple days notice.

vermont friends

I would be interested in taking a drive or cruise out to vermont this coming year. My car won't be on the road till the end of april. Maybe we can get a bunch together to do a run up Rt. 100 or Rt.15 in the summer or fall. I miss driving through vermont since I sold my motorcycle.

Sounds lke a great idea to me although the end of April my be a little soon for me. I have a couple of projects I want to do before driving her all day on a long cruise and the middle of May might be better.

OK, as a steadfast rule, I wait until we've seen some good heavy april showers to get rid of the road salt, and then, usually it's may when the car gets on the road. In any case, let's keep this in mind for this coming season! Cheers, endel

Thanks Steve, I'm going to join this week if I can find the time. Why do mondays always seem to screw up my plans. Don't worry, I'll make time.

Hi Dana,

I'm late to this thread, but can strongly recommend AONE. They put on the national AROC Convention in Manchester a few years back, and it was a great event. Great organization, good people, and a website I continue to visit.
