This will be only the second year I will not be attending since 1999. (I have a family commitment this weekend) It is a very enjoyable event, as the track location has a relaxing, bucolic atmosphere. We usually have a bottle of Chianti, Italian cheeses, fruit and bread, sit on the hillside by the esses, and watch and hear the bella macchina. Getting close to exotic mahinery in the paddock is worth the price of admission alone.
In all probablilty, I will be at the Vintage Festival instead on Labor Day weekend.
it is pouring out so there's no way I'm making it there today.
