Looking for a 74 spider in New England

Hello all,

I am posting here hoping to find some information that may lead to a 1974 alfa spider for sale. I just completed a barn/workshop with my father and I am ready for my first alfa. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have been reading on this BB for about 2 months and I am now actively searching for my beloved alfa. It seems most 1972-1974s are for sale in California. I am also looking out west but would love to find a solid car here close to home.

Thanks John

Thanks John

I have been checking ebay, craigslist (wish I could search all city listings), owners clubs. A gem is hard to find sometime but I will keep looking...

All the adds there are really old. Am I missing something?

I have the same problem with craiglist. Does anyone know how to search all cities for Alfa at once?

Nope -- there just haven't been many people placing "Cars For Sale" ads recently. I think it must be because Alfisti have finally realized what treasures they possess and have taken to hoarding them.

I sold my '74 Spider at the Bonhams auction at Larz Anderson a couple of years ago. The buyer happened to be standing right next to me when he made the winning bid, whereupon I immediately congratulated him on his exceedingly good taste. He's now an AONE member. He loves the '74 but has said that, in his heart of hearts, he'd rather have a Giulia or Giulietta. Perhaps he'd part with the '74. Chip -- if Pagoda Giallo is a color you like (I'll attach a photo), contact me offline and I'll put you in touch with the current owner.

If this car is available, don't hesitate for a second. You would be hard pressed to find a NE spider that was treated any better.
Buy it... NOW

I am pleased to report I picked up my red 74 spider today! A gentleman from the board was selling her in New York. She is a great spider in fine shape. I will be sure to snap some pictures and share once she is all waxed up!
