Kudos for Chris Sweetapple at Highwood Motors

I was finally able to track down two OE trunion bushings. These things are NLA from Alfa. Chris Sweetapple at Highwood Motors really came through for me. He only had one of them (I found another in the US). It was a small sale for him, but he treated me just like it was a big sale. I needed the part this week as I am taking time off to do a little work on the car. It showed up in the mail yesterday, right on time.

I find this type of service very refreshing. I'm going to be using Highwood more frequently. Thanks Chris!

Chris is truly a champ. He also tracked down for me some parts for the Duetto at a very reasonable price when they were nowhere to be found in the U.S. When I found that the wiper switch I had ordered was the wrong two-speed type, he quickly dispatched to me the correct one. Isn't the internet great for locating good, reliable supply sources overseas?

I absolutely second the comments about him-bought a new GTV rear bumper and complete Weber DCOE setup last summer including Euro manifold/linkage, before the dollar nosedived-he was great, answered all e-mails quickly and accurately described everything. The price was excellent, and the parts arrived(I am not exaggerating this) 3 days after he shipped them!

Agree, Chris Sweetapple is very good finding parts for the Duetto/Roundtail. Very fast and prompt replies always. Plus an impressive knowledge about the older Alfas.

He sure is a champ, I purchased the majority of my parts from Chris. Before and after sales service is excellent.

It is good to hear that some people nowadays are genuine nice guys. This is why some businesses are successful and others aren't.

Thumbs up I third this!

I have dealt with Chris as well, and he truly is a refreshing person to deal with. He answers your emails, takes and sends pictures of his parts if you ask, provides technical assistance, and is a good scrounger of hard to find parts. I highly recommend doing business with him.

I've ordered parts from many if not all of the popular and not so popular vendors known here (including Chris) and have never had a problem with any of them. I'm either very lucky or it proves hanging around Alfa's breedís nice people?

I've suggested to Chris that if we (US/UK) could switch current values for our money, I'd sure buy a lot more from him. He agred it was a problem for 'us'. He did the same for me, in that he found a pair of Lemfoerder lower ball joints for my Alfetta. I'd read bad things about the readily available Frap (which rhymes with...) ball joints and even Chris admitted they were good for about three years...but that most Alfa owners look for the lowest price so that's what he normally stocks. He also advised (actually asked) me whether I had the offset studs for the upper ball joints or the ones with the studs in the center. Point being I agree he's very knowledgeable and resourceful.

Chris is THE BEST customer service on alfa parts on the net PERIOD
The guy WILL ANSWER EVERY question you have in yr email. If it had bigger stock and enhanced his alfa parts with new ones like Max does , it'd be my first choice.

Mr. Chris Sweetapple.

Congratulations to Chris for the facelift of his website, now with new interface.
No doubt Chris is one of a kind, and for me he is the first address to look for parts.
He is very patient, cooperative and knowable.
No matter if it's a tinny sale, or a big one, you'll always get the best service.
Very recommended, especially these days with the convenient rate of exchange.

I've always enjoyed my dealings with Chris, but I find his new web site hard to look at and use. On my PC, there are large bands of blank space on either side of the screen with the list of parts in a narrow band in the middle that I have to scroll from side to side because it doesn't fit in the narrow space the site provides
