Exclamation Contest. 1st to ID where to get this part wins a prize

Hi Everyone,

I must say this one has me stumped so I'm turning to the Alfa community for help and will make a contest out of it for fun. Below are photos of a switch/light assembly from an Italian car. This may not be from an Alfa but since most of us are crazy enough to own several Italian cars it is possible you have seen it somewhere.

If anyone can ID this part and let me know where to get one, I'll mail you an assortment of Alfa Romeo stickers that are great tor anything from tool boxes to your Alfa. Not bad for sharing some knowledge.

BTW it is made by FOREDIT (the same company that makes the windshield washer bags) in Torino.

PM or Reply if you know the answer. The clock starts NOW and I'll announce a winner when we're done.

I say hood, trunk, or glovebox lamp housing with intregal switch.
Look and shape would have me leaning toward glovebox as the most likely application.

After a search of some Ferrari parts, Foredit apparently also made brake master cylinder covers for the Ferrari 330GT. The Ferrari Mondial 3.0 also has some sort of similar device on the top of the glove box bin that is listed as a "Magnet" (?).

That ain't no Flux capacitor! It obviously a Fetzer valve. I'm sure the 3-in-1 oil and gauze pads are just off the the side.

dont you mean stealing your LIGHTNING?

looks like an under hood or trunk light to me..classic white spring loaded button and a shield on it to direct the light...could even be a door floor light for a car without a dome light

Just bumping an old thread to see if any new blood may have a lead on where to find this part. I'm still looking although I must say some of the answers posted have been entertaining.

Yes I am still looking over a YEAR LATER!

Just to make it interesting I'll send $50 to the person who leads me to the aquisition of one of these switch/light assemblies.

If you send me the model car and the part number, I can try to track one down here in Italy for you.

Even a fool can see that's a cross-batch rotivator. A left handed one.
