Wiper arm stainless steel cap

I have made a prototype of a grade 316 stainless steel cap for the wiper arm. Ive made this to suit the arm of a GTV junior.
The original caps are plastic, deteriorate and fall off. These caps will fit tight and wont rust. They look pretty neat too.
Im seeking expressions of interest to see if anyone is interested in a pair for their car.
Im not looking to get rich making these and think $50 AUD would be a fair price to ask for the pair.
There is a bit of work in making these as they are quite fiddly.
If interested, feel free to PM me and we can exchange details and discuss timing of delivery.
At this stage, id like to have the postage included in the price of $50 AUD. I just need to see what it costs to deliver from Australia.

Thanks for the interest.

How are they held on? If interference fit I’d suggest a tiny bit of adhesive in three places in circumference since when it sits in the sun the AL will expand differently than the SS and may loosen up

Good question. The prototype in the picture is a clearance fit, its about .05mm clear of the inside diameter of the arm. I plan to make then an interference fit i ie snug. I agree that the materials will expand at a different rate and I do plan witting a fitting instruction with any I make for people. I will suggest a dob of non corrosive silicone to the underside in the middle so it glues to the top of the wiper stud and doesnt rust it. The arm has a small opening at the join line where you can release the cap with a screwdriver, so I dont believe a small amount of silicone will be an issue.

Ill start contacting those who have expressed interest in these soon. Once ive got the form tool made for the curved end, ill make a set to be sure they fit tight and then we can discuss payment and delivery.
