crank

Perhaps more than you're looking for but I have a 69 551 series 1750 Spider/GTV/Berlina block/crank/head/valve cover/front cover and oil pan, matching caps, std main bearings. I pulled the pan off for storage. Would prefer to sell as a unit. Just a short 12 hour drive away....

Jeff,

I tried to respond but the system is telling me you've opted not to receive PM's. If you PM me an outside email address and I will respond that way.

Not sure why PMs are rejected. It has a check in the box to receive PMs and I've received in the past. My email is [email protected]. thank you.

There was a European eBay seller who had about 8 or 9 NOS 116-type 1750 cranks, about 3 months ago.

There are a couple on Ebay but they need to be ground. I can have mine ground but I spun a bearing its already 10/10 so the rods need to go to .030, but I can't get race bearings that size, so I'm looking for a different crank. I may just have it done and use standard shell bearings on the rods. Or maybe build a 2L. I didn't realize good condition 1750 cranks are so rare.

Just about any 1750 engine is getting hard to get as they were only around for a short time until the improved 2L came. Good luck

I would contact Larry at Alfa Parts Exchange ask for crankshaft. I do not think that 1750 engines are hard to find and recently gave away a block. The big problem is many of the owners have parts but, are becoming old and no one wants to sell bulky or heavy parts. I am now throwing out parts that I have had for decades and the recycle can is being used.
