00514 1600 engine

Looking for a period correct replacement block for our '65 Giulia 1600 Ti sedan in good condition. Sadly the original block has a hole in the side (pics attached) due to a broken conrod. Still need to pull the engine, open it up and see what else is damaged beyond repair. May need a replacement crank as well.

I thought I'd try and find out in the meantime if someone has something for me they are willing to part with. May well be less expensive than trying to repair the block. Still waiting on a quote. A complete engine would be ideal but a block and/or a correct oil pan would also helpful.

I have a 67 Giulia Super engine minus the crankshaft but I live in Los Angeles, CA and shipping is expensive. I had a crankshaft that probably needed to be welded and threw it in the trash because I can buy a standard crank for $500.00. I think you can find a block or engine in New Zealand.

Thank you John. Finding a 00514 block may be difficult in NZ though.

I had a 1965 514 block but sold it to a friend.

I have a '63 Giulia Ti block on my shelves if you come up short. Its 2 years earlier than you want, so think of it as a last resort. Shipping half way around the globe will be heavy.

I'll get the actual number for you

I agree the shipping could cost more than the block.

If you cannot find one I potentially have got one from a 1964 Giulia TI (105.14) registered in 1965. Not perfect but serviceable.

@Alleggerita and @AlfistiSA:

Thank you very much gentlemen. I'll definitely be in touch for further info if I don't find anything closer and once I know more about the extent of the damage to the original engine.

What a great community this is!

I have a good short block from a '65 TI. Good crank and pan, or can sell just the block. It is located in Portland OR. (West coast shipping)
