ULTRA-RARE - Set of 7J (!) x 14" Maifrini Mille Miglia's MAGNESIUM wheels

For sale at extremely hard to find, almost unique, set of Maifrini's.

Where the "standard" 5,75J or 6J version is already a rare sight, these are exceptionally rare! Due to the extra width they have more contrast and depth in the design which makes them even more beautiful. Maybe even nice than those on the Lamborghini Miura.. Also, it makes them more suitable for a wider range of tires.

The wheels are recently powder coated and have a BRAND NEW - set of tires fitted on to them. These wheels are ready to be bolted on and to be enjoyed.

Beautiful wheels, but powder coating of magnesium aka Elektron alloy wheels is a huge no-no. I humbly suggest anyone using these with any vigor at all have them x rayed at minimum.

Maybe it is lost in translation. Euro plates - DE or NL perhaps?

Powder coating magnesium ALLOY wheels is no problem if done by a knowldgable shop. Pure mag is another story.

Hi guys. From the research I've done and the limited information that is available on the super pare wheels I made up they are magnesium. I stand corrected if someone can tell for sure me I'm wrong.

i have a set of MM 14x6's for nearly 30 years. they originally came unpainted much like the early bwa's. if they were high content mg, i reckon they would be turning a darker color much with age. mine were never painted and still arent

These Campy Americas and the Daytonas on my GTV were powder coated with no problems!

These wheels were made of a magnesium alloy. I've had a 6" set on my Duetto for, gulp, 34 years. When I found them they had been stored outside for a couple of years and were pretty fuzzy and white looking but they cleaned up well. I later found a 5th wheel for the spare and it still has the original chromate conversion coating on it. The powder coating on these wheels is not correct but it may hold up well if it were properly applied.

Where are the MM center caps? Where is the original poster? (Netherlands near Holland) I would be very cautious with this listing...just saying -Paypal.

Mark

you beat me... i had mine for 32 years :-)

chromate conversion? what color was this protection coating? they originally came unfinished right? bobcar use to sell them on the east coast new back in the day. untreated alloy will turn white and fuzzy too but it will not turn dark like mg wheels.

i PM'd him also, no reply
