Alfa Milano ZF Automatic transmission

FOR SALE:
It is a ZF re-manufactured transmission complete with brakes and shift cable. On its number plate is 3 HP-22 and 1043 000 075 and Serial Getriebe Nr. 1033476. It came out of a good running Milano that was crashed. Purchased from A.P.E.

When I had an automatic Milano, I bought a spare ZF trans unit complete with brakes for backup, thinking I would have the car forever.

Looking for $300 for it. It must be picked up. I am just North of the San Francisco bay area.
Feel free to call in the evenings at (707) 529-2396.

Interesting to note that this is the same transmission that is in the later Spider automatics...3HP22. A big difference in how the front and back are configured.
Anyone know what ZF model came in the Alfetta automatics?

the same ZF wasn't it, the 3HP22?
This is an alfetta 3HP22.....kinda looks identical to what Alfafamily is offering (albeit a lot grubbier looking - and a whole lot dearer - than his!)

I would guess that this is the transmission I gave to APE in the mid-80's. Not long before the car was totaled, I took it to a tranny shop in San Jose that specialized in ZF transmissions, mainly on BMWs and the like. I had read that this was the same unit as used on BMW. After the technician took a peak under the car he was amazed to find that there was no transmission at all. I told him to look at the other end of the car At any rate, he did the rebuild for us, and it worked just fine.

thanks all of you , velocedoc,spiderserie4,red10118, for all the information about the automatic ZF 3HP 22.
I am the owner of an automatic Alfetta Sedan 79 that a previus switched the original trans. to a Milano 88 and
in the process of overhauling . Can you tell where can get all the necessary parts ?
Living in Mexico importing is a little hard if they are not the correct ones ( taxes )
