Hi,
Did you try ICS Steering Specialist (www.ics-steeringspecialist.co.uk)?

They are useful for Burman steering boxes restorations and parts.
Hope this helps,
Alain.

Not quite the right item there, but maybe they just used generic items.

Alfa Romeo MONTREAL Steering Rack | ICS Steering Specialist

However other places mentioned here who could help?

This company´s speciality is disassembly of Montreal cars, so they could have anything you want if not out of stock for the moment. Worth a try, but maybe you need to call to get their attention.

Have already contacted AMS Montreal but they first send picture of the steering arm and I answer back with picture of the right part and then I did not get any reply at all

Also search on schmiedmann but can’t understand how to search for steering joint with the right spline size ?

My goal is to build electric power steering from a Toyota Yaris that I already have but both of them have different spline size and Burman have a really odd spline size that no aftermarket supplier have so I think I have to manufacture from a u-joint that fit Toyota and drill a bigger hole in the other end and make new splines to fit the Burman.

Yes that is the right part and I already have that but I don’t want to cut the only steering u-joint I have there must be some aftermarket that fit if they get worn.

As I wrote: you need to Call AMS to get their attention, they hardly bother to answer mail that come random. So call them on the telephone!

Same you could do to Scmiedmann and see if they could help you!

With regards to electric power steering Alfaholics have already done that with their own special steering Box. Only problem is the price, but its ready to be oredered.

Yes I have already seen the Alfaholics electric power steering but only for Alfa 105 series and not for the Montreal and for that price I have to sell my car first to get money I have all the parts but only the u-joint is the hard part to get and I have only spent 200 Euro so far.

There is another company making electric power steering called EZ power steering in Holland but they also take little to much money for it.
They have used a u-joint from AMS they say.

http://www.ezpowersteering.nl/type/2..._Montreal.html

So I will phone AMS when I have time.

Yes it is the same part as the other last produced 105’s that got steering with u-joint same as the Montreal but I think they are very rare.
The other 105 have the steering bolted directly into the Burman box and have no u-joint

My 73 has the UJ. From discussing this assembly on the board I don't know that I'd consider them that rare.

Okay but do you have any sources where to buy the UJ ?

I can’t find any maybe the UJ itself is changeable but the spline section is the problem.

Someone find a UJ from a Quadbike but that not including the 48 spline section
