Springs for eyelid mechanism

Hi guys

as it seems, there is no way of getting the original springs for the eyelids so i need to reproduce them.
Has anyone of you the correct specs for them (daN, length, turns...etc.) so i can get them produced?
If i get the correct ones, i will be more than happy to ask for more sets for those who are interested.

best

G'day Philip

This is an item in my "too hard basket" for now, but something I'll need to address one day. So if you have any success I'm in for a couple of sets for sure.

Thanks
Rob

Hi Phil
I know Chris Slade had some of these springs a while ago because he supplied me with a set. [email protected] If you do not get any there let me know has there is a small chance I may be able to get some.
Also thanks for the freebie poster
Regards Geoff

Hi All

I replaced my sagging springs with sets from my local hardware store (Bunnings). $2 each.

You need to cut 1 cm off and use long nose pliers to bend one end. 10 minute job.

Good luck.

I posted the springs to the address you gave me today. Sent ordinary post so not sure how long they will take. I will send you a PM in the next day or two.

Philip,

good news, Chris Slade in UK is a longtime friend of us and sent me a mail 3 days ago that he made again new repair kits for the lamp grills. We got ours few years ago and they worked fine. You sould contact him for a set:
[email protected]

I don't know where he is at the moment, but give him a chance.
Hannelore
