Rear bumper rubber spacers

Hi Danny, the upper corner spacer has a negative angle to best match the two sections which adds an extra complexity in the steel tool. I expect to get the parts in two weeks maximum. So far, despite the complexity, tool cost is under control. Final price for the complete set of 4 spacers is still US$30.

Perhaps we should each buy more sets to help defray the cost.

Welcome Hans!

I hope your Montreal restoration is going well. Some photographs would be nice, if you can post them. I hope you have a copy of 'Alfa Romeo Montreal ~the Essential Companion' by Bruce Taylor.
It is an excellent reference source for anyone with a Montreal.

Rear bumper rubber spacers

Hi IronG thanks for support this project with two sets.

I am happy to inform the supporters that the mould tool was completed two weeks ago. As predicted the upper rubbers negative angle turn the project much more complex. We had successfully run the first rubber production and I have installed in my car bumper. It seems fine for me. I had the chance also to develop a quick installation instructions manual with the help of Ironblock.

I am ready to send the sets to all members that have sent me the confirmation: For a single set: jippiejake, 1750GT, dannywilde, malex, jdge70, gtvgeoff, sud#1, V8alfa, alain1960, robo330, mtbjeff and hberns. For 2 sets: classicalfas, robarbon, pinoF, ironblock, zagato^1600. For 3 sets: johni6020 and texasalfa. Please send me a PM with your address.

Well done -Edgar is 'The Man'! Just from dealing with the 'simple' windshield wiper tower mount gasket, I know this was a lot of work and it is quite an accomplishment.

The only down side is, it looks like now I must polish all of my stainless steel trim...

Thank you Edgar.
