Gtam 1530037

Hello

Who knows if the GTAM 1530037 ex. Jean-Pierre Rochat about a car at Autodelta
or whether the GTAM in Lausanne (1974) was built with autodelta parts?

Many thanks for any answers

The ex Jean-Pierre Rochat GTAm was built on a 2000 GTV shell. Later someone faked the Autodelta invoice of the car and used it for 1530037

GTAm *1530037* was originally sold to the U.S. and in 1993 from Germany to the Netherlands, those are the first records of the car. When Patrick Dasse and me worked on the second edition of "Alleggerita" it war offered for sale with some history mentioned (Rochat, etc.). The story seemed straight and so I took the car into the register. Later, during the work on our next projects "Stahlberg Racing" and "Herbert Schultze", we got a second copy of the Autodelta invoice for Rochat's GTAm but with another VIN listed. When we compared the two copies it was clear that *1530037* was typed with other letters than the rest of the invoice. Alfa Romeo supplied the hometown from the first customer of the second car, a 2000 GTV, and yes, this one was originally delivered to Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1971.

The ex Monzeglio-GTAm is for sale in Germany for EUR 450000: 1969 Alfa Romeo GTAm for sale: Anamera. The papers to this car are correct ones ones but (as on every GTA/GTAJ/GTAm) the stamping of the VIN has to be checked carefully.

Hello members,

I have seen #15300037 up close in the Netherlands, made pictures of it and saw the engine of this car out and being rebuilt by a well know Alfa man after a mishap on "Zwartkop" circuit in South Africa. The engine threw a rod during the race. The bottom end of the rod was blue because of overheating.

There have been doubts about this car. I have expressed those doubts on alfabb. The, at that time, angry Dutch owner personally told me that he had an invoice from Autodelta to proof this was a genuine GTAm. We met at the bookstore were I worked. He was really upset about the doubts that had been expressed. The fact that I could not find any in period pictures of the car besides the one from a Swiss circuit, made me doubt in the first place.

The chassisnumber suggests that the shell was a very early 1750 GTV iniezione car from the 105.51 series. So from that, we could conclude it was changed to a 1750 GTAm by Autodelta later in life.
It now becomes clear that something else might have happened. More info on #1530037 and its engine here;
