1939 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Sport Touring Berlinetta

Found this on the same site

1939 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Sport Touring Berlinetta Chassis #915030. In 1939 the new 6C 2500 models came out to replace the old 6C 2300B. The 6C 2500 was similar to the previous type, but had a higher performance with increased horsepower (95 bhp) and better gearing for a higher top speed. The Turismo model was produced in two versions both on a 128 inch wheelbase chassis. All the sport type had a 5-seat body manufactured by outside coachbuilders and mounted on a 118 inch wheelbase chassis. This magnificent vehicle was fully restored and was a Pebble Beach winner of the european class and won most elegant closed car in 1998.

In addition, there were about 20 Tipo 256 pre-war Alfa 6c25000 race cars, including a coupe for Le Mans, a spider called the Ala Spezza, and a number of cars that look similar to the Touring bodied 8c2900 spider.

The featured car is, if I recall well, the one previously owned by Angelo Tito Anselmi. I don't recall the first owner, could it have been Trossi, or do I confuse with another, rather similar 6C2500?

About the 256s, I would say from memory 3 Ala spessas and 4 or 5 "Spider corsa" 1940-style as discussed in the other thread on the Touring 6C2500.

I don't remeember if it was Raoul San Georgi or Fabrizzio Callagaris that gave me the specific number of 19 for Tipo 256s.
