An article on the Carrera Panamericana I did for the Alfa Owner in Jan 1994
In the 1980s and 1990s, I did a number of articles for the Alfa Owner. In 1993, Pat Braden asked me to write the column "A Fine Vintage" for the Owner on his behalf.
I had written at least 50 articles for the Owner for both Paul Pfanner and the new publisher, Doug Darling...but only about 10 were ever used.
I was supposed to be paid $50 for each article, no matter if it was used or not, BUT NEVER GOT A CENT.
As such, I stopped writing for the Owner around mid-1994. This is one of the last articles I wrote, and the only "A Fine Vintage" vintage column I did that ever got published.
Maybe now people can have at least some understanding why I am still upset with AROC...I never got a dime and should have gotten about $2500! Others WERE getting paid; in fact it was Pat Braden that told me so, and even told me HOW MUCH he was getting paid a month for his columns!!! Agian more BS AROC "politics" over who got what...
Attached is the particular article I am speaking of that was published in the Jan.1994 issue of Alfa Owner..
