chunk of exhaust

Yesterday evening I was driving north up the Bayview extension (Toronto)
in my 71 Spider when a chunk of exhaust fell off the car in front of me.
No opportunity to swerve, stop or bail out ... the junk made contact with the the underside of the car. It was a bit of a jolt. I figured sump suffered and started imagining oil was leaking. Fortunately I was close to Auto Eurotic,
I made it in watching oil pressure with fingers crossed. Dom, the owner was still there working at 6:15 pm. He immediatley flew into action, put her on the hoist and thankfully the sump was fine...ironically my exhaust pipe now has a crease from the road junk... no big deal and no charge . I am bringing him some vino later today. If you are looking for a tech for your Alfa or Euro car, check him out . auto eurotic, Laird Drive, near Eglinton.
