New project has sparked the idea of letting her go. Everything mechanically has been replaced and restored. Has the original 1750 motor and transmission. I swapped the spica to dual weber carburetors with a euro manifold setup. Head was rebuilt with centerline's colombo & bariani sport cams. Performance exhaust manifold, 123 programmable distributor with multiple settings. New aluminum radiator, water pump, alternator, battery, all silicone hoses, electric fan, high torque starter, new ignition switch, Bosch blue coil, motor mounts, transmission mount, brake master & slave, and brake booster. New exhaust with rear muffler delete. Completely rebuilt suspension and drive train with everything replaced a few months ago (all poly in the rear and rubber in the front). Lowered performance sport springs with new shocks. Handles great and takes the bumps well. I just ran the autocross at our last Alfa club spring fling event and performed great with this set up. All interior replaced, new dash, door panels seats etc. I also have a new carpet in the box that i never installed. I never intended to sell this car so while I was building this I wanted to focus on the mechanics first and was going to do the floors and paint this winter but a new project has taken priority. Clean title. I can provide all documentation and photos of the mechanic work and bodywork that was done. I have over $12k in receipts just for parts. There is also a link to the BAT ad on this feed that I had witch has multiple photos and driving videos. I just dropped the price down to $8500 obo. If interested please call or email. Thank you everyone for the kind words and compliments. As to the question on price, I am only discussing details and price with serious buyers over the phone or email. Thanks
Getting back to the thread, if I were to start over with another Spider it would be a 71. IMO they are the best looking and they are also the lightest of the Kam tails.
Not to beat a dead horse but if the trumpets are the right size they are fine. Alfaholics has been building motors with these for years. I've seen Ferraris with trumpets and numerous other cars, Shelbys etc.
Great looking Alfa ! Could you say a word about the seat belts in this Alfa ? .I take it the steel piece (bar) by the emergency brake handle is where the belts lock on to. Is this an Alfa part /after market- or do you know what type of belts these are ? I'm thinking of putting some old Volvo static 3-point belts in my Duetto and they lock in the same way . But locking "point" isn't nearly as nice. GLWS ! Thanks
Saw your BAT listing. Good luck with your auction. I think you did a great job with the powertrain and suspension. The trolls on that site are trying to beat you up - just ignore them!
The BaT listing really shows what's need to be done to the car. Next owner can take this to the next level.
