After 34 years of ownership, I'm putting my modified and high performing '83 Spider up for sale. Mechanically fully sorted with major rebuild in 2014-2015 and less than 1,000 miles added since then. Always garaged. Loss of storage space and infrequent driving forces sale. This car needs to stretch its legs more than it has over the past several years. 10:1 pistons, 11mm intake cam, stock exhaust cam, headers, big T-body, extrude honed plenum, chassis stiffener, poly bushings throughout, Alfaholics suspension, roll bar, fresh belts, and much more. Included in the sale is a nearly complete set of restoration parts, either in very good used condition, NOS or fully restored - click here for photos of the car and most of the parts:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...3GzfjxGOKOtBsc

The trove includes a complete interior (less dash), brand new Electron stayfast cloth top, restored top frame, all interior & exterior trim (except nose triangle and foam spoiler), with OE sheet metal, roll bar, and lots of replacement mechanical parts. Original Campagnolo wheels, Alfa Maintenance Manual, and car cover included as well. Asking $4800/best offer with all the restoration parts, original parts and spares. Note: this is a package deal, car plus parts. Contact me for more info.

As I mentioned, I am losing my storage space for both the car and the parts and I have no time to devote to the restoration of the car. It’s fully sorted mechanically, is a blast to drive and more than capable of being driven daily. The car with the parts trove that goes with it will enable someone else to put the work in to refresh it and bring it to the next level. The skinny:
The body and top need tlc. The top does not seal well along the front edge and has a small tear that is sealed with caulk. A new cloth top and restored top frame comes in the trove so that issue is easily resolved. The body has scratches, dings and small dents and could use some attention. The body has some rust along the lower rocker panels, both sides. New replacement rocker sheet metal and other sheet metal pieces included. Visually it’s a 10-footer. None of these effects the drivability or the fun factor. I welcome any additional questions or requests for a viewing. Lots of interest locally.

Wow, what a great car...10 footer is perfect. Looks good from most distances and not precious enough to worry about. Pure fun. Please contact me if deal falls through.

Thanks folks! Avoria’s next custodian will do right by her. The deal is sealed. The new owner drove away with it about an hour ago. New owner is an Alfa (and BMW [whoa]) guy who owns a repair shop in a Boston suburb. He also has a Milano Verde, and formerly a GTV6. Loves the mods and the performance that this car delivers.

Boy oh boy, what a car. And what a deal. So, what to say. On one hand, sorry you had to sell, but on the other hand, congrats that you’ve accomplished what you ‘needed’ to do. Has to be a little difficult. Would be for me. It’s good that it’s going to a good buyer/home/owner.
Awesome.

Thanks Yachtman, it was tough to say goodbye. But it was the right thing to do. I watched and listened as the new owner drove away, until I couldn’t hear it any more. There will be another time for me to own an Alfa...or two.
