"1957" 1900 Barchetta on e-Bay

Another "1950s" Barchetta... Advertised as Conrero-prepared. The seller appears to be in Belgium and selling history shows that he has sold a number of books by an author named Olcyzk.

The seller has a lengthy and well-known history of which many on the BB are aware. Note that although it is advertised as having a documented 100K Euro restoration, no serial number is offered, and there is no reserve on the auction. The car resembles the black and white photos in the listing but is not close to identical to them. One may read into that what one will.

My 2 cents :

The car is an evocation of the work that Conrero could do, that's it. besides the text does not say "original conrero car".
1900 engine fitted with dellortos...

The vintage photos are only there to show what Conrero does, but this is by no means the car for sale.

They probably had some 1900 berlina parts and built the car around them. Nice work from italian coachbuilders as a tribute to the men of the past.

Chris, in love with Alfa from...'68, but it wasn't always reciprocal !

Agree with Chris.
Would be interesting to know if the car comes with any paperwork at all?
If it has French carte grise or Belgium registration, it could be a very cool car for relatively little money.
But of course not for the "originalpolizei"

The ebay ad says "Mille Miglia elligible". I'm no expert on Mille Miglia eligibility, but I'm pretty sure you need a factory-built car, or else a "garagista" -built car that actually ran in a pre-1957 MM, to have a chance of getting accepted. This part of the ebay ad is deceptive, at least to my eye.

But is it? Not enough information for anyone to know. It's a nice car in and of itself, so I remain mystified by the ambiguity.
