1969 Giulia Super RHD Celeste Blue

Howdy Folks,

I have a gorgeous and unique Alfa for sale here are a few details:
1969 Giulia Super 1600
Right hand drive
Celeste Blue
Red interior.
74,5XX original miles.
Clean California Title.
Located in Montebello CA (East Los Angeles)

The vehicle belonged to an Alfa Romeo enthusiast who resided in Santa Barbara but was from Australia. He imported the car to Ca for his personal use and enjoyed it for years until his passing a couple years ago. The car is quite stunning with this color combination. It is the original color but it had one high quality respray under the previous ownership. It is an unmodified original car in great shape. Interior is just about showroom perfect whilst the exterior is very very good. Engine bay is original paint. Though the car runs and drives, it will need a little love in terms of a tune up and freshening of the fuel system since it has been sitting garaged for about 2 years, I will perform this for the new owner at my shop DV-Mechanics.

Price is $52,500 OBO, one of the finest examples around. Includes a fat folder full of records and a few photographs of the car when it was spotlighted at the 2011 Concorso Italiano. I figured I'd post it here before trying BAT. She needs a good loving home.

**EDIT/Update** I did not want to call this a Bollino D'Oro on my own since I am not an expert but after discussing the car and comparing notes with a few sources it really does seem to be the case. Also, the car is registered as a 1969 in California but, Fusi shows this as early 1968 RHD Super. Thank you Andrew for the information.

Follwing up with some underbody shots to show how amazing this car is. No evidence of previous collision or repair.

I can't wait to see it, but did you post pictures already? I don't see any - not sure if there is a tech issue on my end.

Bill, I see the photos-though they did take a while to load when I refreshed the page. Please let me know if I am the only one seeing them.

Now I am really irritated, as I still can't see them! First time this has happened to me on the BB. Sorry to hijack the thread - I will search through the previous posts that dealt with this tech issue and try to trouble shoot it.

Hi there,
Very nice Giulia indeed.
Two of the pictures indicate that the car might be a Bollino d'Oro and one picture that it's not.
Together with the Biscione, these are the two models that are supposedly the most sought after and subsequently can demand the higher price level. You might want to see if you can get this confirmed as it is a strong selling point.
Best of luck with the sale.

Exactly what I said to Dorian, I've had a Bollino d'Oro in the workshop that was an ex-Australian car & it was the same - didn't have the split grille....

Lovely looking car, if I can shift my other 4 saloons I'll be after it!

Ian

Yes, the pictures are NOT for Bill. He might buy it!:-) Regardless a nice car that needs a good caretaker. Understandable why our upsidedown readers want it back. Most of these seen have been restored, some none-too-well. This one is like a time capsule.

Yes, it has some indications of being a Bollino d'Oro but I am not and expert and figured that the AlfaBB community would be able to determine that.

Hi there,
I knew the 2 previous owners here in Australia & garaged this car for a year or so at my home. I was hoping to buy it at some point, but an American (airline pilot?) bagged it & took it home.
It was a very original car at the time & fantastic condition, mostly original but I'm pretty sure it had a quality freshen up of the paint in the '80's at some point. This didn't detract from it in any way however & is not hiding any sins. Lovely example.
The only upside to the story for me is that I did buy an equivalent '69 1750 GTV from that last same Australian owner with 38,000m original.

regards, Vince.
