'83 GTV6 3.0 $12,500 obo

'83 GTV6 Silver/Black

I purchased this car over 5 years ago to "fill in" while my long term (owned for 28 years) GTV6 was being restored. I'm expecting to get that second GTV6 back this summer and must make room in the garage soon.

Originally a California car which underwent a cosmetic and mechanical restoration by Omega Motorsports. Has about 12k miles on the clock since the restoration in 2010. Over $20k in receipts for work performed during the restoration which took over 2 years.

Here's some mechanical specifics:
3.0 liter Verde engine overhauled--with S Cams--about 210 hp
Timing belt/water pump replaced with engine rebuild
Rebuilt transaxle--smooth through all the gears (including second)
Rebuilt driveshaft
Lowered to Euro Specs
Koni Red Shocks
Serpent Wheels with Pirelli Tires
Ansa Exhaust
Stainless Coolant Expansion Tank
Powder Coated Valve Covers and Plenum
Brake Rotors/Pads replaced (about 15 k miles ago)
New starter
Receipts from Omega Motorsports going back to 1998
A/C present but not hooked up (I live at 8000 feet and don't need a/c)
Leaky heater valve (see above, I live at 8000 feet and don't drive it in winter)

Interior and Cosmetics:
Momo sport leather steering wheel
Flowfit after market seats with lumbar supports (significantly more comfortable than stock)
Recovered rear seats and door cards
Recent new carpets and AR logo floor mats
Rear deck (trunk covering) material replaced
Respray in original color (records indicate around 2007)
No rust on shock towers, rockers, wheel wells, rear deck
Good fit on all body panels
All glass in good condition--no cracks on windshield
Later style bumpers (from '85 or '86 these are black mat rather than chromed)
Headliner in good condition
Sony AM/FM/CD Player--detachable face
No leaks around sunroof
Normal amount of cracking on dash

This car was documented in a feature article in Hemmings Sports & Exotics (Alfa GTV6 vs Porsche 944) just before the 2010 mechanical restoration work. If you look up GTV6 on Wikipedia they show a photo of the engine bay from this car--must have thought it looked well sorted and so do I. Full pictures of interior, engine bay, undercarriage, trunk, wheel wells, etc. on request.

I have a stash of GTV6 parts including complete interiors, wheel sets, and some other hard to find parts. If you don't like something about this car, there's a good chance that details can be modified. Car is located in Aspen, Colorado--5 minutes from airport.

Beautiful! What is the status of the smog equipment and what would it take to make smog legal in CA? Thank you!

So this car has to go to make way for an even nicer one? That must be a heck of a GTV6.

Some additional photos

My engine bay photo looks pretty much the same as the one from Wikipedia.

I can see the pictures, so it doesn't appear to be an issue with the BB.

The last CA emissions certificate appears to be 2012. Nothing has changed with the engine or emissions equipment since that time. I can't verify it would pass the test today since I don't live in an area that requires testing.

My PM to you didn't show up in the sent folder so it probably didn't make it either. Please send photos to [email protected] and kindly provide a phone number at which you can be reached. Thanks, Al
