1973 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 race car project

Awesome racecar driver / welder's project. $9900 firm!

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst...762903272.html

Professionally rebuilt matching numbers 2000 motor and Trans (zero miles)
Duel Webers
High performance pistons, rods and Shenkle cams
Used $4000 British made 6 point cage
$600 Alfa replacement sheet metal
Perfect taillights and glass
$1200 Perfect replacement dash + old one
$700 Sparco Evo 3 racing seat
Roof clip and all rotten parts have the new or used panel replacement included.
Clean Arizona title
All the trim is present. Lots of spare parts included.

Car needs somebody with welding experience or connection. The original roof (included) had a sunroof that leaked. The window frames got rusted. Included are ALL replacement roof sections oand repressed replacement sheetmetal for misc rust around the car. The chassis and the floor look rust free solid. The car does not look pretty, but could be a cool racer easily after bodywork. I have over $16K into this project but I have too many others to finish. I am not interested in trades. I can take 3 monthly payments with $4K deposit.
The car is located in Redondo Beach and motor, seat and lots of parts are in Palos Verdes Estates. Bring a truck and trailer!!! Handy person guaranteed to make a very profitable purchase.

Call, text or leave message. Call Lee 310-259-5195

Before this thread goes awry, I'll please ask folks to be constructive in their views and remain civil. It's all too easy to fall into snarkiness and fighting.

I think that "snarkiness" is sometimes called for. In view of the current political environment, it might be a good time to be full of snarkiness...

(what ever the hell that is..)

PS: I have no views, good or bad, on the topic at hand...

(Little) Washington, NC Incorporated 1776
Red 1959 Spider Conrero Veloce 100,000 miles
sold 1966 ( I had no idea what I had there.)
Red 1967 Spider 100,000 miles sold 1974
Red 1987 Milano 100,000 miles sold 1994
Red 1969 Spider 109,000 Miles in the garage, Sold
Green 1978 Spider (arriving soon)

We need a law, one that says every male gets a 10 car garage on his 16th birthday so that when he is 60 years old he will never have to say "**** I wish I had never sold that car".
(No, I did not put those "****" up there the system did... )

Question: Do they really make Alfas in any other color then red?
Answer: Well they really do. I fell in love with a Green Spider on BAT.
I have not done over to the dark side, only the Green side.
It took me 50 years to see the light..

Garage
Not bad, floors actually look solid from the (one) pic. Price is not bad considering the rebuilt mechanicals. Re-done dash alone is worth $1200

I'm local-ish, if anyone wants me to check it out for them.

The craigslist has expired. Did the car sell? If not, please PM me.

Oversteer scares the passenger, Understeer scares the driver!
