Ugly 4C Engine

I got these pictures from Ebay. They weren't marked to be Copy Righted so I copied them for us. Now I know why Marchione wanted to build a better engine for the 4C Model.

So is that the current 1750? Lots of plumbing like most modern engines. Can I put it in a new 124 Spider?

It’s already in there isn’t it?
If not as a 1750 defo the 1400 version.. and a RWD (Mazda) gearbox.

Always wondered if I can put “those” in my GTJunior?
I have a current 1750 QV.. it’s an amazing engine

In the top pic one of the stickers visible has ‘NAFTA’ .....

That means diesel....

Cheers.

It is without any doubt a 1750 petrol engine from a 4C.
I’ve never seen diesel referenced as NAFTA in an Alfa.... and my last car was a JTD

According to google NAFTA is oil in Estonian, in Italian it’s Napthalene.. which is someting quite different from Diesel. Given it’s all in capitals, I suspect it’s an acronym for something. Much like the North American Free Trade Agreement or NewZealand Australian Free Trade Agreement or Not Another Fiat Tuned Alfa

Or... https://www.fcagroup.com/en-US/group...ges/nafta.aspx

Ah that makes sense... the North American connection.

My relations in Italy have in the past mentioned 'nafta' when talking diesel so that got my interest.

Agree though, darn ugly...

Cheers.
