Thank you "kafugelum308"
I knew of this car but have not yet seen it. It is built on chassis 915513, also a wartime chassis delivered December 1942 to its first owner "Cristani", but apparently not completed and registered as a car until 1945, just in time to be passed on to an American, Donald A. Jones. Jones was an American agent who apparently negotiated a retreat for the Germans, making it unnecessary for the Allies to reduce all of Milano to rubble in order to drive the Germans out. Jones received a number of accolades from the Italians as a thank-you.
Aside from the notation "spider 2 posti" description in period registration documents, we don't yet know what precise body the car had originally. It turned up in the 1990's as a chassis but the body had been removed. It is nice to see it in this form since we don't yet know what was original.
