2000/2600 handbrake grip-same as 105 serie?

Hello
Curious why nobody sell reproductions-i guess 105 serie on photos is different shape (length 98mm,hole diameter 18mm)?

Correct. It is not the same as the 105. I'd take 3 or 4.

As per the parts catalog pages copied below, there is a difference between 2600 handbrake handles that roughly corresponds to the delineation of 1st and 2nd series cars -- but actually depended on the transition from drum brakes on the rear axle to disc brakes all around. On 102 cars and 1st series 2600 Sprint/Spider, the release button is at the top of the handle, while on 106 cars with disc brakes, the release button is at the bottom of the grip (presumably to prevent accidental release). There is a additional difference for the handles with bottom release in RHD cars (that were introduced at about the same time as 2nd series cars).

So, in a nutshell: There are 3 types of handbrake lever handles on 102 (2000) and 2600 cars -- and they are all different from the 105 version.

The first example in the parts book does not appear to have a screw. I believe that I have a spare imperfect original handle like this one somewhere.

I would say the grip is hard plastic, not rubber. The material is like that used on the 105 cars but the size is different, naturally. My grip does have two attachment screws, I checked it today.

I really thought I used a 105 new one I had on the shelf on my 102 roadster car # 836, Hey I'm Mr forgetfull so I may be wrong.
I did do some measuring on stuff I had in the shop yesterday and the 105 handle is 98mm overall with an 18mm inside diameter and the
2 screw mounting spacing was 45mm on center. I kinda remember it was not easy to install on the 102 shaft....... I will look through my photo essay and see if I noted it in pictures and report.

My recollection is that the 105 grip was too large for the 102 shaft.
