Hi guys,
I have a good news for you: 10305 RESTORATION IS STARTED.
In June 2016 Frame-off and now the reproduction of many chassis parts like rear and boot floor, panels draws to a close.
It was necessary to control car on the car bench due to a bump near the left front wheel.
Fortunately damage is slight and in the body shop there are other 4 CSS, that have provided measures to build a car bench.
Front and rear suspensions, steering box, drive train are totally restored and now I’m focused on the gear box.
I provide personally to clean, burnish, polish or paint mechanic parts to give original look.
Any advice is well accepted :smile2:
Thank Pescara.
I have no ad on Anamera and I'm not registered on this site.
This is a fake.
Sorry but for privacy, I can show you only pictures of my car in the stable.
congratulations for this magnificent work!
really clean.
i think this was car by pre owner marco oldcar.
i have already restored many 1900 ...... therefore a recommendation.
but I noticed. chassis on lifter press 4 points. lots of free energy hanging free and pressing town in welding lines.
only smaller piece for piece cut out and weld.
do not remove whole and large pieces from chassis and floor panels in one step.
it can bring very big problems without massive pattern table or xyz measuring bench .
in any case with pressure presses always pre-tension 5mm when welding on chassis !!
alone from to much and to hight welding temperature balance can shrink the chassis 5mm
to much heat in a level weld 10mm and much more can twist and bend the chassis.

Ciao Bernard,
yes,Marco was preowner.
I know very well your works and i consider them superlatives.
How many times i have seen on alfaBB photos of your works?
I don't know...i've lost count.
So is a pleasure to receive your advice and congratulations.
Chassis was for a few hours on lifter press 4 points.
just long enough to give primer. Now it is on a mobile bench hooked to all of the suspension mounting points.
Next month we will check and we mount suspensions to return the car on its wheels.
My coachbuilder has proceeded,to avoid weakening chassis, as you say, step by step.
Before recreating the piece and then cut and fit.He started from the back to get to the front, always keeping car on the bench.
Fortunately this delicate phase is over and the car complies with all the measures and quotas.
woow !
is a real perfect work gigi !
respect and appreciation.
is a very very hard way
i m self always learn
is the alloy back on the frame ?
here on this AlfaBB much very good alfa-restorations and specialists
in this way neither an earthquake can bend the chassis and also have all the correct measures.
Created using Catalogo Riparazioni 1900 and comparing these measurements with those of other 4 coupè undamaged.
We just tried to fit aluminum but without fixing it.
Now we have to assemble suspension, give the correct camber and work alloy on a car with its wheels so as to minimize or delete shell asymmetries .
P.S I'm not a specialist,i'm not a master coachbuilder like you.
I'm only a passionate owner.
Hi Franco,
yes they are black for "brunitura" not for paint.
It's the same chemical process used for gun.
They have an oil sheen, and when it dries appears gunmetal
