Alfa 1900CSS new gearbox

Hi all,
The gearbox of the alfa 1900 seems to be the weak point.

With an italien friend who knows well that kind of car, we are trying to modify the gearbox to make it silence and reliable.
The gear module need to be changed and the drive shafts and fixed gear need to be rebuild.
To get a fair price we are trying to make several gearbox with 5 gears. We would like to rebuild the one with the floashift, but we haven't got any model.

If somebody got a gearbox with the floarshift of that model that would be helpfull for us. We would need it for 2 months to make a copy of the specifics parts.

Hello Franco
Aussie calling. we have just finished restoring a 1900CSS and on driving it, found the gearbox was restored by a butcher not a technician. it needs a lot of parts including a 5th gear. we would be interested in supporting you plan.
have you made any progress Cheers Bryan

Hi all,
I have the same problem with my gearbox and the situation of parts is becoming worse and worse.
My recommendation now:
Bernd Salewsky in Aachen, Germany, specialized in repair and reproduction of engine and gearbox parts, took care of this problem and developed a new Gear Set. The design is done by modern construction methods, Material and Hardening process. A different pressure angle is reinforcing the root of the teeth.
A small series is already started and will be ready to order in the end of August 2017.
Of course, Bernd can not only supply the parts, but also completely repair the gearbox.
Best regards
