Idle valve actuator seal

I have a vacuum leak at the idle actuator, where it seats to the intake manifold. The gasket is hard and doesn't provide a tight seal - some carb cleaner sprayed in there causes the engine RPM to climb and smooths the idle. Does anyone have a source for these? Maybe an alternative part number for another car? Here's the link to Alfissimo but it looks like it's NLA.

Try wrapping it in electrical tape. Or use some non-hardening gasket compound.

Yea. They're not available. Electrical tape does an adequate job of sealing it.

This grommet still seems to be available in the far reaches of the world, i.e., Australia:

I emailed that Aussie source, if they'll ship them to me I'll buy all that they have and send them to Jason to resell. In the meantime I use some Permatex black flexible high-temp RTV to seal it up. I'll give it a day to cure and check the vacuum leak again, but that should solve it.

To be honest a piece of hose works just fine. You really do not need the end shaped hole. Just a nice tight hose to keep it in place/sealed along with the bracket should do it. I have no more left.

Too late now, but next time you probably want to use a non-hardening sealant like Permatex #2. RTV is going to be a real pain if you ever need to remove it.
