Oh definitely, nobody's gonna touch this thing but me. I couldn't afford it otherwise and given my current situation wrenching on it is going to be every bit as therapeutic as driving it. Kind of a subtle hue too, not too flashy LOL
My dream Ferrari.....one day...

I spent quality Alfa hours each evening this week preparing for Mid FL AROC Viva Alfa event at Celebration in Kissimmee just south of Orlando.
Both cars are daily drivers with all the usual wear and tear but looking good and so much fun at high speed.

Jenny (164L) is left foremost in this pic from last year.

https://vivaalfaromeo2015.shutterfly.com/#http://

I will present Jenny and Sophia (164B) tomorrow.

Both are resting in my driveway all ready and eager for the quick two hour ride south early morning before daybreak.

I will no doubt return with pics and good memories.
Many good friends to meet again.

This is a great FL Alfa event each year.

Ta,

Neville.

Trying to set up for profiling my cams without pulling them from the head.
Got a correctly sized degree wheel made up.
At #1 TDC the cam lobes are splayed out so not a good place to start.
Clear I have to do one cam at a time.
Thinking to start from the center of the heel at whatever lobe is correctly positioned at TDC.
Seems the only possible way to do this.
I'm after the profile in order to determine what I have and how far off the factory marks I want to go for best performance.
Currently both are set dead-on.

Twin-Cam Hemi, Webers, Headers, Overdrive, Disc brakes, and no emissions equipment to spoil it all. These are gonna be FUN rides!

I have just finished detailing the black 75 3 litre, ready to take to our Auto Italia event tomorrow. We expect to get over 115 Italian cars and bikes there. I decided to enter the 75 because there might not be any other 75s there and there is renewed interest in them since the Giulia came out, due to their status as the last full production front engine, rear wheel drive Alfa before that. It is a work in progress but looks a lot better than when we bought it. We are proud of our achievement in fitting the 2004 GT seats, new carpet, re-covered rear seat and getting it mechanically almost perfect. There are still a few things to do to it in future, such as painting and renewing the headlining to keep us busy. I will post photos of the event later.

Well I finally did it, bought my dream Ferrari. I passed on the black '78 too much trouble to get it smogged in California, so I got a Red on Tan '83 with mechanical injection. Man this thing is so cool. Paid a bit more but money is not what it's about it's so crude, so loud, so smelly, I think it get's like 11 mpg but the sound - OMG

Now I have two red cars

Paul - 1972 Spider - (2)1991 164S's - 1983 308 - 2001 Discovery - 1997 F350

About this can only dream of. Congratulations.

My purchase is much more modest. And due to the need to do welding work on the 164.
But Virus Alfa progresses.

I drove 2,000 km in past weekend and bought it

We didn't get any of the smaller engines in Australia - only the 2 litre TS and the 2.5 V6 and we didn't get diesels until the 159 came here.

Can't see why engine didn't just fall out.

Gutted an '81 Spider for its rebuildable motor and trans yesterday. Greasy fun! Keeping the rear end, too. Funny thing is, the body's not rusty, either. But car has sat for 20 years and sure is ugly!

Good luck with it. Looks like a gorgeous machine!
