WANTED: URGENT WTB Alfa Romeo 164 Coolant Part..

Thought I would cross-post here as well......

Hi all,

I'm in desperate need of part #18 in the diagram pictured below. This is the part that is directly on top of the water pump on a 1991 - 1993 Alfa Romeo 164. Now, there are a couple versions of this. Some have a plug (ie part #2), some have a small tube coming out, and some have a large tube coming out. I need the one with the large tube coming out like in part #18. I believe these were on all 164 S models as well as 164 automatics and maybe a few others, I'm not sure. If you have it, please let me know as soon as possible.

Thank you!!

How much is it worth to you? I may still have it somewhere... If I find it and it is the correct one (which I think it is - came off a late model 164S), you can have it for shipping.

As I stated on your other post:

Item 18 (with large port) started with chassis 6229911 (both later L and S) when they went to large hose and steel tube over rear valve cover for heater return for quicker heater warm up.

That inlet return to pump is 1" instead of 3/8" for models that had just engine oil cooler lines. Both L and S models had this upgrade.

One I have is slightly cracked but can have one in 3-4 days from a friend- $55. New is $199.00 about 4-5 weeks. I know new is not what you want but last resort.

I have a older one which like I said can be modified to a 1" outlet. I have done it before for about $8 all said and down. Find a threaded spout drill older version out and tap it, then thread in new 1" spout with locktite and call it a day.
