Greetings:
My Street/race Alfa GTV has a issue with 3rd gear popping out. Recent event here in New Hampshire (yesterday) has worsened the situation in that not only I had trouble keeping it in gear but now I am having trouble getting it into 3rd gear. I still managed to get 3nd place in the race but 6 out of the 12 tunrs I was holding the shifter in 3rd gear, so quite a work out!
Obviously it needs work.
I am looking for a used transmission in good shape. The person who normally fixes my Alfa is not available most of the time and I need to get this issue fixed prontissimo for my next event August 4th.
Any help, hint, suggestion welcomed.
My idea is to install one that is functional while I sort my orginal one.
I am sure someone has a nice transmission in the garage collecting dust that is willing to part with.
One with lightened gears even better!
