slyalfa, yes, but in the meantime how can I get my Weber DCOE's idle to remain (fairly) even once I've charged the A/C and as it cycles on and off? As I mentioned this is one of the reasons I'm considering installing the TS with Motronic in my Alfetta GT.

Find a idle solenoid off somthing at the junkyard. mount it and have it wired with the AC clutch.
then just adjust it so you get the same RPM with the AC on as you do with it off.

I use a VEMS ECU on my spider for a while just to do the spark and you can get a lot of idle control by advancing the timming. it just adds more advance as the RPM drops and removes timming as the RPM goes over the setpoint. that might be a way to do it also. I have seen some spider dizzys with 2 sets of pickups and a relay to switch in one set or the other. if the AC fliped the relay to the more advanced setting that would help. but what you get is all you get as there is no adj on that thing.

Are there differences between the GTV6 and Milano boxes with regard to bearing size/type?

I heard (from someone that heard it from someone...) that there are differences with the bearings (GTV6 twin ball bearing; Milano single roller bearing) and a shim thickness in the differential that 'locates the pinion gear' (never having worked on a transmission I am talking without walking here).

Would it be better to take the internals of a Platinum box and fit to the GTV6 case? I understand the differential would need setting up.
