Cool Hard Clutch

Hello All

I recently purchased a 1975 Spider 2000 that had been half stripped and had been sitting for a while. I am in the process of putting it back together.

The clutch seems very hard (like pushing a brick) is their any advice to fix this problem. Do I need to bleed the clutch or something similair to release pressure? Otherwise I will have one very Muscular leg.

Thanks

check the hard line going from the master to the slave that some time plug up. And the flex line too that goes from the hardline to the slave.
after that check the master and the slave. if water got in the system any or all the parts might be rusted up.

I had my hardline plug up. I used a old spedo cable with a ragged end and a lot of wd40 to clear mine. and spun the spedo cable with a hand drill. and I also had to replace the master. when I had the motor out some water got in and they were just trashed.

The throwout bearing just may be stuck to the sleeve on the front of the trans. I don't know of a good way to fix that short of trans removal. If it is infact stuck there is a danger of dislodging the sleeve from the front of the trans. There may be a way to check the T/O bearing through the hole in the bellhousing where the T/O fork goes through.
